Back at school

Turkey Day went well and now I am back in the classroom. I am covering Brown vs. Board of Education then I am doing away with the textbook. I am going to teach the test that they will take in April.

I had such a wonderful break. I took papers home to grade over the break and did not touch them until last night. I spent about two hours grading essays. Anyway, my best friend came to spend the break with me. We didn't do much of anything, but it was cool just hanging out. My fam stood me up, so I went to spend the day with an aunt and uncle. My uncle is a chef. The food was so good that I ate three times. Once I made it back to my house, Shannon came to see me and stayed a little too long, but it's cool. Overall, I enjoy his company.

We are going on a field trip Thursday, then I have a workshop Mon, Tues, and Wed. of next week. I am goin to love it. Christmas break will be here before I know it. Oh, I got a part-time job. I will be teaching GED classes on Saturdays. It pays really well and I could use the money to go Christmas shopping. After Christmas, I guess I will finally start saving. I have such difficulty with that.

SMILING

Today is the last day before Thanksgiving holidays! I am too elated. My children are finishing The House of Dies Drear. (I know, I know! We started it a month ago.) This is the only time we have to watch it. I have caught up on my grading. My best friend and name's sake will be here at 7p.m. I need to do laundry. I guess I will go immediately after work. The plans were to go to the Capital City Classic, but it's supposed to rain, so I don't think we are going to be able to do that. My cute co-worker and his frats are having a bbq and he invited us. I think we will stop through there, free food and drinks.

I am not going home for the holidays. My immdediately family plus my great gran will be at my house Wed. I will have to really clean Tuesday bc my gran is such a critic. I'm glad they will be here. Well, I am really just glad I don't have to drive home. I hate that drive.

The girls on the dance team are going to come to house to practice Wednesday too. I really love these young ladies. They are sooo rough around the edges though. There is one girl. She is the epitome of GHETTO FABULOUS. She is the smartest one, but she is just hood. You can't help but love her. She is always loud though and has maroon braids in her hair. She will do anything you ask her to though and she is a good dancer. Speaking of the dance team, the rules were if you get suspended you are automatically dropped. Our captain was suspended but we didn't drop her. That may bite us in the butt later, but we just didn't think we should. She got suspended for arguing with another girl. ARGUING. Actually, the girl went off on her and she just said she didn't want to hear it and forget the girl. Well, the principal suspended them both for one day to cool off. The dancer didn't have an attitude or anything. When the principal told her to go to his office she calmly walked off and the other girl took off running after her. I just don't think the suspended was just, but we had to do something bc she got suspended. We suspended her from one game.

Gamma Omicron's latest creation is 33 I.V.I.E.S. of Pearlfection. They probated Wednesday and looked quite pretty. The GO website is up and running. It's lovely, too. Kudos to Sorors Tanjala, Ranada, and Hallmon.

BLAH

I finally get a chance to write in my blog and I don't feel like it. Nothing happened, I am just not in the mood. So much is going on right now. My life is fine; I am just worried about other people. I just want to cuddle in bed for a few hours and eat ice cream.
